BenQ LU960ST2 WUXGA 5200 Lumen Short Throw Laser Golf Simulator Projector | LU960ST2-001

Bring brighter, more immersive projection to your golf simulator with the BenQ LU960ST2. Built for demanding simulation environments, it combines 5,200 ANSI lumens, WUXGA resolution, a 0.5 short throw ratio, and professional installation controls to create a large, clear image without requiring the projector to sit far behind the hitting area.

The LU960ST2 is ideal for premium home golf simulators, teaching studios, fitting bays, and commercial simulator spaces where brightness, placement flexibility, and dependable performance matter.

Bright, Detailed Golf Simulation

With 5,200 ANSI lumens, the LU960ST2 delivers a vivid image that remains clear even in simulator rooms with some ambient lighting. Its native 1920 × 1200 WUXGA resolution provides sharp detail across fairways, greens, bunkers, and on screen shot data, while support for 4K UHD input allows it to work with modern high resolution simulator systems and PCs.

Short Throw Design for Simulator Rooms

A 0.5 throw ratio allows the projector to produce a large image from a relatively short distance. This helps reduce shadows, keeps the projector away from the golfer's primary hitting position, and makes it easier to build an immersive simulator in rooms where installation space is limited.

Flexible Professional Installation

The LU960ST2 offers extensive vertical and horizontal lens shift, along with keystone correction and image adjustment controls. This gives installers more freedom to position the projector around ceiling height, enclosure dimensions, and hitting location while still properly filling the impact screen.

Responsive Performance

BenQ's Fast Mode provides input lag as low as 8.3 ms at 1080p 120Hz, helping simulator feedback and projected ball flight appear quickly after impact. The result is a smoother, more responsive experience for practice, lessons, club fitting, and competitive simulator play.

Long Lasting Laser Light Source

The laser light source is designed for thousands of hours of use with minimal maintenance, making the LU960ST2 well suited for both home and commercial simulator environments. Unlike traditional lamp based projectors, there are no routine lamp replacements to manage.

Built for More Than Golf

When you're not practicing your swing, the LU960ST2 can also support sports viewing, movies, gaming, presentations, and other entertainment. Its combination of high brightness, large screen capability, and versatile connectivity allows your simulator room to function as a complete entertainment space.

Questions about the BenQ LU960ST2 5200 Lumen WUXGA Short Throw Laser Golf Simulator Projector

Is the BenQ LU960ST2 good for a golf simulator?

Yes. It is a 5,200 ANSI lumen WUXGA (1920 by 1200) laser projector with a 0.5 short throw ratio and low input lag, built for home studios, teaching bays and commercial simulators.

How far from the screen does the LU960ST2 need to be?

With a 0.5 throw ratio it sits about half the image width from the screen. A 10 ft wide image needs about 5 ft, and a 12 ft wide image needs about 6 ft. That makes it the best choice of our BenQ projectors for short rooms.

Can I mount the LU960ST2 off center?

Yes. It has up to ±55% vertical and ±23% horizontal lens shift plus keystone correction, so you can line up the image even when the projector cannot sit perfectly centered.

How long does the laser last?

BenQ rates the laser at 20,000 hours in normal mode and up to 38,000 hours in eco mode, with no lamp to replace.

Is the input lag low enough for golf?

Yes. BenQ lists input lag as low as 8.3 ms at 1080p 120Hz, so ball flight appears right after impact.
