Is the BenQ LU935ST good for a golf simulator?

Yes. The LU935ST is a short throw laser projector with 5,500 ANSI lumens, WUXGA (1920 by 1200) resolution and a dedicated Golf Mode. It stays bright in rooms with ambient light, which helps in garages and multipurpose rooms.

How far from the screen does the LU935ST need to be?

The throw ratio is 0.81 to 0.89, so it sits about 0.81 to 0.89 times the image width from the screen. For example, a 10 ft wide image needs roughly 8.1 to 8.9 ft of throw distance, which keeps the projector up and out of the swing path.

How long does the laser light source last?

Up to 20,000 hours, with no lamp to replace. The laser engine is IP5X sealed against dust, which helps in garages, basements and commercial spaces.

Can I mount the LU935ST off center?

Should I choose the LU935ST or the LK936ST?

Both share the same throw ratio. The LU935ST is WUXGA at 16:10 with 5,500 lumens. The LK936ST is 4K at 16:9 with 5,100 lumens and HDR. Choose the LU935ST for brightness and a taller 16:10 image, or the LK936ST for the sharpest 4K picture.
